Today, the Atiwa East District Assembly led a massive clean-up exercise at Anyinam, focusing on clearing choked gutters and desilting major drainage systems to ensure a healthier environment.

We were honored to have our Hon. District Chief Executive (DCE) fully on the ground, actively joining the team in the cleaning efforts. Leading alongside the DCE was the District Coordinating Director, joined by dedicated staff from across our departments, including:

National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO)

Department of Environmental Health and Sanitation

Department of Agriculture

And various other assembly units.

A Call to Action for Every Citizen:

While the Assembly remains committed to maintaining public infrastructure, true sustainability lies with each individual. Sanitation is a daily habit, not a monthly chore. We strongly advise all residents and business owners to:

Keep gutters clear: Avoid dumping solid waste and plastics into drains.

Dispose of waste responsibly: Utilize designated waste bins and services.

Take ownership: Clean your immediate surroundings daily.

Let us protect our health and prevent flooding by making cleanliness a personal habit. Together, we can build a resilient, spotless Atiwa East!
