Following concerns raised during his engagement with the Chief, elders, and residents of Adasawase, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Ernest Owusu Ntim, inspected the abandoned community market constructed for traders in the area.
The inspection was prompted by concerns from residents and traders regarding the non-utilisation of the market facility. During the visit, some community members expressed the belief that the market was bewitched and, therefore, unsuitable for trading, a perception they said had discouraged traders from occupying the facility.
Hon. Ernest Owusu Ntim toured the market to assess its condition and interacted with traders, community members, and Assembly officials to better understand the challenges affecting its use.

Responding to the concerns, the DCE assured the community that the Assembly would work closely with traditional authorities, opinion leaders, and other relevant stakeholders to address the issues hindering the use of the market. He encouraged traders to have confidence in the facility, stressing that the market was constructed to improve local commerce, create economic opportunities, and enhance the livelihoods of residents.
He reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring that the market is put to its intended use for the benefit of the Adasawase community and pledged to support efforts aimed at making the facility fully operational.
