The Atiwa East District Assembly as part of efforts to improve the educational infrastructure in the District has cut sod for the construction of a six-unit classroom block for the Anyinam Model Girls School.

The ceremony took place at the proposed site for the school which is just a distance away from the newly constructed Atiwa East District Assembly office complex on the 26th day of April, 2021 at around 10:00am. The occasion was graced by the chiefs and elders of Anyinam, Assembly member for the area, party functionaries, contractor for the project, management of the Assembly, opinion leaders and other stakeholders in the District.

Speaking at the event, the District Chief Executive Hon. Kwabena Panin Nkansah expressed his happiness and gratitude to the chiefs and his elders for releasing a parcel land for such a big project and their continuous support to the Assembly. He further thanked all the stakeholders present for always making time to attend events organized by the Assembly.

The chief of Anyinam Congratulated the District Chief Executive for his hard work and commitment towards the development of the District. The chief in his speech entreated the DCE to do all that he can to ensure that students get the basic items they will need in other to ensure their success at the end of their study.

Honorable Kwabena Pannin Nkansah also promised that his outfit will continue to deliver on their mandate of ensuring that all school pupils in the District get a conducive place to study in other to help them compete with their peers in the urban areas since they will all be writing the same exams at the end of their study.

The contractor for the project also promised to deliver within the stipulated time of six months. He added that even though library was not included in the plan, he will do his possible best to include it to enhance the studies of the pupils who will be using the facility.
