As part of the activities to restore our forest which has been lost due to activities of illegal mining and to help green Ghana, the Assembly through the department of Agriculture distributed 1000 COCONUT SEEDLINGS TO 100 FARMERS across the District. During the presentation, the DCE Hon Kwabena Panin Nkansah advised the beneficiaries to take good care of the tree crop to encourage the Assembly to do more since it is capital intensive.
The beneficiaries thanked the Assembly and promise to do their best to ensure that the environment regains its natural beauty by abstaining from further activities which threaten the natural vegetation.
