The Local Economic Development policy is been developed to help reduce poverty through increased economic growth. The broad objective of the policy is to facilitate economic growth, employment and income generation in order to promote household welfare and alleviate poverty.
With the concern of District Assembly, The Agric department monitoring team visited rice farmers and palm oil processors to envisage their problems. Aftermath of the monitoring, the District Assembly awarded the FBO groups with items such as wheelbarrows, rice planters, silver basins, iron pots, silver buckets, and cash prizes.
This intervention has enhance their business to employ more employees.
