The Agriculture Department of the Assembly has today organised Field Demonstrations for some farmers in the district.
The field demonstrations is aimed at educating farmers on more improved and advanced technologies in farming in order to increase their yields and reduce poverty.
Demonstrations are conducted at every operational areas in the district.
After the farm reaches a certain stage, farmers are invited to the demonstration fields to have a hands on practical knowledge on the techniques used in farming and hence the name ‘Field Day’.
Farmers in the district are advised to contact their Agric. Extension Agents in their various electoral areas and enjoy some of these programmes.
