The Ghana Agriculture Surveys employed a three-stage multi-sampling design to collect data on field area measurements. The survey covered the entire Region, including Atiwa East District, with field officers. Ten holders were randomly chosen in each enumeration area. The Ghana Agriculture Surveys used a crop yield measurement questionnaire to collect data on crops such as Root and tubers, Plantain, Vegetables, Cereals and grains, and leguminous crops.To ensure quality data generated by Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) for informed decision to be made by government and other stakeholders, the District Directors of Agriculture were engaged by GSS to undertake monitoring of the ongoing field area measurement, crop cutting operations and yield assessment during the minor season. Prior to the engagement series of virtual meetings were held by GSS and other relevant stakeholders including Directors of Agriculture. Objective / purpose of monitoring visit: 1. For data accuracy verification.2. To identify any potential issues or problems that may impact the study.3. To evaluate the progress of the study, including the completion of the work, data collection and it timeline.4. To evaluate the methods used to measure yield, including the accuracy and the reliability of the yield measurement tools.Who did the monitoring Regular Monitoring team: The entire team members.When and where the monitoring was completed ;( communities – Tiawia, Methodology (how you went about the monitoring exercise)Review the study protocols and crop cutting operation plan and familiarize with the study area or site and crops. Randomly select a representative sample of crop yield studies area within the enumeration area (EA). Recording date, time and location of the crop cutting operation, and knowing the stage of the crop, and any visible signs of stress or damage.
