Bizbox is a governmental initiative program through which government intend to provide funding and technical support to the youth and youth-led businesses who falls within a certain criteria to enable them to start, build and to grow their businesses across the country.The government of Ghana believes strongly that, the Bizbox program intend to create and accumulate jobs, unleash innovation, sustain startups and existing jobs, reduce social vises due to the unemployment rate, and to give hope to Ghana’s youth.The department of Ghana Enterprise Agency of Atiwa East District Assembly under the leadership of Miss. Gifty Edith Teye the district director for GES, and the strong support from Mastercard Foundation, the Hon DCE and the District Coordinating Director in the persons of Hon. Kwabena Panin Nkansah and Mr. Shakil Mahamood Kpedua respectively, happen to conduct a successful climax Bizbox program for the qualified young and vibrant entrepreneurs at the forecourt of the Anyinam Chief Palace on the November 6th, 2024.The event was graced by the District Coordinating Director in the persons Mr. Shakil Mahamood Kpedua, the NPP Chairman for Atiwa East, a representative from the Mastercard Foundation, a representative from the Anyinam Chief Palace, the district director for GES Miss. Gifty Edith Teye and her team, the Information Service Department, the head of Transport unit, the media, and other audiences such as the Association of hair dressing and dressmaker. The guest of honor Mr. Shakil Mahamood Kpedua in his address on behalf of the Hon Chief Executive, said that, “ the occasion is of it first kind and must be a testament to the youth of Atiwa East District because when we promise, we deliver ”. He made reference to the items to be presented to the qualified candidates at the event and advise the youth of Atiwa to go into entrepreneurship, and to those you have already started to use these items to be presented to qualified candidates to boost their business. The Department of Business Advisory Center (BAC) and it collaborant Mastercard Foundation via the support of the District Assembly will continue to aid the youth in any possible way. The representatives for Mastercard Foundation, in his address reminded the audience the origin of the project in the year 2021 known as Young African Works project. He said, the project was divided into 3 part which are the Apprentice to Entrepreneurship, MBA and the ICE (Innovative Creativity Entrepreneurship). The Apprentice to Entrepreneurship focuses on the youth seeking to become sole ownership of their business after graduation. To the MBA (MSE Business Advancement) aims already young entrepreneurs yearning to seek help from the government to boost their business, and to the ICE also targeting young graduands from the secondary school and eager to start an entrepreneurship. However, the Bizbox project which is an upgrade of the Young African Works projects seeks to enhance entrepreneurs via training and disbursement of startup kits to start businesses, and this final chapter of the Bizbox project is a testament to the mission and vision of the entire project.After the addresses, presentations were made to the qualified applicants with photoshoot as evidence to the occasion.
