On Tuesday May 20th, 2025, around 1 pm to 3 pm early in the afternoon, marks the schedule date and time for a talk with the Enyiresi Government Hospital Management Board and the Presidential representative, the District Chief Executive, Mr. Ernest Owusu Ntim, the District Coordinating Director Shakil Mahamood Kpedua, and his team at the Government Hospital Meeting Room. The talk was about unveiling the flaws that lead to major and minor problems in operationalization, and to identify the way forward to either limit the issues to the barest minimum or eradicate them as soon as possible.
Secondly, the introductions were on the current status of the Government Hospital operationalization from the Hospital Head Superintendent. His address communicated the expansion of the hospital with the Mother and Child Unit inclusive, alongside some of the required sophisticated equipment catering for the complete welfare of the mother and child, but not completely fixed, and others awaiting delivery to the hospital. As of April, 2025, the hospital recorded an increment of child deliveries from 140 to 160, with the capacity of the Maternity being recorded as 14, with a force health compromise of the mothers resulting from the low pace of the completion of the new maternity ward, and the current inadequate availability of beds and others. Surprisingly, the situated location of the government hospital forces the operationalization of the facility to serve Atiwa East.
