The 39th National Farmers’ Day Celebration was celebrated successfully at Enyiresi on Friday, 1st December, 2023, with the theme “ACCELERATING AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT THROUGH VALUE ADDITION”. 14 gallant farmers and a school in the district were awarded with motorbikes, various agricultural inputs, TV sets, fridges, wellington boots, cutlasses, etc. for their hard work. The Day was attended by numerous crowds made up of many dignitaries including Hon. DCE, DCD, Chiefs, Hon. Assembly men, farmers, staff of the District Assembly, and people from all surrounding communities in the district. Various produce and products from agricultural production and agricultural inputs were exhibited by the awardees and the community during the programme. A 61-year-old farmer, Op. Kwadwo Anning, Chief Farmer from Adasawase won the District Overall Best Farmer.
