The aim was to raise awareness among students about the potential consequences of peer pressure, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and child labour.The Community Development officers conducted a presentation focusing on the impact of peer pressure, drug abuse, teenage pregnancy and child labour on adolescents, utilizing adolescent protection flashcards and other toolkits. Following the use of flashcards and the “sac of stones” activity, the presentation delved into interpreting the images and their relevance to interactions with the adolescents.A total number of one hundred and thirty-five (135) students were sensitized. Out of which fifty-two (52) were males and eighty-three (83) were females. In attendance were also the headmaster and teachers of Accra Village Basic School.
