The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Atiwa East District, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., paid a courtesy visit to the Chief of Awosoase, together with his elders and the entire community, following an earlier engagement at Osoroase–Krobom on the same day.

The visit formed part of the DCE’s continued stakeholder engagement tour aimed at deepening collaboration between the District Assembly, traditional authorities, and local communities to promote inclusive and sustainable development across the district.

In his address to the gathering, the DCE expressed his gratitude to the Chief, elders, and people of Awosoase for the warm reception accorded him and his delegation. He emphasized the critical role of traditional leadership in local governance and noted that development efforts yield better results when traditional authorities, political leadership, and communities work together in unity and mutual respect.

The DCE outlined the Assembly’s development priorities, stressing the importance of community participation, maintenance of public infrastructure, environmental cleanliness, and youth empowerment. He assured the community that their concerns and development needs would be captured and considered in the Assembly’s planning and implementation processes.

He further reaffirmed his commitment to transparent and accountable leadership, encouraging residents to support government policies and Assembly initiatives geared towards improving livelihoods and overall wellbeing within the district.

The meeting was attended by key representatives from the District Assembly, including officers from Administration, Works Department, the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), and the Information Services Department (ISD). Also present were the District Executive of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the Assemblywoman for the Awosoase community, reflecting broad stakeholder participation in the engagement.

In his remarks, the Chief of Awosoase welcomed the DCE and his team, commending the visit as a positive step towards strengthening ties between the Assembly and the traditional council. He assured the DCE of the full support of the elders and the entire community towards the successful implementation of development projects and policies, while also highlighting some challenges facing the community.

The engagement concluded with an interactive session where elders and community members openly shared their concerns and expectations. The DCE and his delegation responded to the issues raised, reinforcing the spirit of dialogue, partnership, and collective responsibility that characterized the visit.
