The inaugural ceremony of the Papaye Co-operative Transport Society of Atiwa East District was conducted on 8th June, 2023 at the Atiwa East District Assembly conference Hall at 10:57am with an opening prayer by Rev. Father Akrofi Samuel, the Associate priest of St. Johns’ Baptist Catholic church, Anyinam.
Hon. Kwabena Panin Nkansah, the District Chief Executive formally welcomed all dignitaries and all stakeholders to the function. He mentioned about the significance of the inauguration of the Board to the Transport Union.
Again, he mentioned that as a Board they are to protect assets and provide financial oversight of the Union.
In furtherance to their functions, Hon. Kwabena Panin Nkansah urge the Board to support and review performance of the Management Committee.
The climax of the programme saw the swearing –in of the Board Members by the District Chief Executive. The cross functional membership was as follows:

In the end, the DCE offered a vote of thanks to all including the Rev. Father Akrofi Samuel, Atiwa East chief Imam and his entourage, the Zongo chief, District Police Commander and all the invited guests and the participants for gracing the occasion by their solemn presence.
